Casper&pearl

Il y a quelque jours j'ai fait la découverte de casper&pearl. Et j'ai été tellement séduite par cette jeune marque que je me suis sentie obligée de vous en parler. J'ai contacté la créatrice de la marque, Stacey Hendrickson, et je vous avoue que je ne m'attendais pas à ce qu'elle me réponde. Et j'ai été bien surprise car non seulement elle m'a répondu mais en plus elle m'a répondu très rapidement. Je lui ai donc fait part de mon envie de faire connaitre son travail à mes lectrices et elle m'a accordé, avec toute la gentillesse du monde, une interview. La marque et la créatrice étant Australiennes l'interview est en Anglais donc on fait travailler ce qu'on a appris de la langue de Shakespear ( ou google traduction ). Enjoy ♥

A couple of days ago I discovered casper&pearl. And I was so seduced by this young brand that I had to talk to you about it. I contacted the creator of the brand, Stacey Hendrickson, and I have to admit that I wasn't expecting her to answer. But I was wrong because not only she answered but she also did it really quickly ! Who are you ? Can you present yourself ?

   I’m Stacey Hendrickson, the 20 year old designer behind the Australian fashion label casper&pearl

How did you get the idea of Casper and Pearl ? When and how did you start making your dream come true ?

   I first thought of casper&pearl about a year and a half ago, although I’ve always dreamt of starting a fashion label. I made my wildest dreams come true by working hard, being creative and never giving up.

What Casper and Pearl means to you ? Why this name ?

   casper&pearl is like my baby, I never stop dreaming up new ideas and working hard to make them reality! The name was chosen because I was really inspired by the innocence and freedom of childhood youth and this is what I picture my customers to be like – free spirited. When I was younger my nickname was Casper and my best friend’s name was Pearl. It just fit perfectly.
Who designs and creats the clothes ?

   I design everything by myself, and I have pieces made by an amazing little production team! I first started out by handmaking everything but the high demand became too much!

Where do you get your inspiration ?

   I gain a lot of my inspiration from nature, story books, memories, the 70s, the 90s and magazines. I love to read fashion blogs and I always like to have muses

What will the secret garden collection look like ?

   In our A/W 13 ‘Secret Garden’ collection we will have a lot of pretty dresses, fun jumpsuits, hand-drawn floral embroidery and peplums. Prepare for a lot of loveliness!
